UPDATED: JUL 1, 2008 Hazy, bronze appearance and thin skin of skim milk foam. Herbal-floral hop forward aroma with a burst of mandarin orange. Firm cereals and semisweet, honey and toffee tint of munich malt beneath.

Clean malty flavor again very hop forward. Full of herbs, flowers, and pithy citrus seeds. Lemon seeds. Orange peel. Mid palate of sesame seeds and white dough dry and wooden. Toffee lays low and provides warmth.

Chewy, medium to full palate quite bright and very soft. Finishes on plain cereals and a whimper of honey, drying out with the remnants of heavy hops. Chosen to fulfill the desire for a clean, crisp and aromatic malty beer, it’s satisfying only distantly in that regard, although its somewhat noisy hop components are refreshing and flavorsome enough for it to be quite successful in its own meandering way.
