Rich dark brown with a brown, foamy head. Aroma is dominately coffee. Flavor is also dominated by coffe but with some chocolate, sweet malts, and caramel coming through. Medium bodied but very easy to drink.

Initial taste when cold: instant coffee up front detached from not quite malty and roasty enough stout taste. As it warms the two parts come together much better and the hops provide a nice melding. The stout is never full enough for my liking and the coffee is not complex enough. I had recently had a Bells Java which in my mind is the right balance and consistency. Not the best but quite drinkable
