Growler. Pours hazy golden orange with some sediment. Smells of banana, cloves and yeast. Tastes of wheat with a mild citus and wheaty aftertaste. Quite enjoyable and well crafted hefe!

[Growler] Another old rating I found. Pours very hazy orange with almost no head. Aroma has huge banana, cloves and yeast. Taste is a little disappointing compared to the aroma, but still nice, with wheat, banana, and some yeast. Medium mouthfeel, decent finish that is somewhat dry. A nice hefe, but falls short of some of the top tier wheats like Dancing Man.

Cloudy gold pour. Lots of banana, wheat, coriander, spice. Flavor follows suit. Spice, fruit, yeast. Damn good.

RBSG 2010. Poured a cloudy amber color with an average fizzy white head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus, banana and clove aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Drinkable solid hefe.

On tap at Fitgers. Pour was hazy light golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma was sweet wheat, some runts banana, and a slight clove character. Flavors were more banana, light sweet wheat, and light clove. Carbonation was low and felt like a cask ale. Good Hefe.

From tap served in a big ole’ wheat beer glass. Massive banana, bubblegum, apricot, peach, clove aroma. Incredibly unfiltered pour... downright chunky. Muddy dark orange with a huge rocky white head. Perfect flavor for a wheat beer. Despite all of the frutiness on the nose, the palate remains crisp, dry and refreshing. Tangy wheat, clean malt profile throughout. Wheaty texture all over the palate. Creamy but never becomes overbearing. Perfect summer beer.

On draught at the Fitger’s brewpub in downtown Duluth, MN. Pours a cloudy golden straw colored brew with a decent white head that slowly dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of banana esters, cloves, a touch of watermelon, and yeast. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of banana esters, yeast, some bubble gum and lemon zest. Finish is fruity sweet, some high alcohol presence at first and then a crisp aftertaste.

TAP: pale gold pour, aroma of banana. Taste is banana, citrus/lemon, and wheat. Tasty.

Had this at the brewery. Big time bananas and cloves. A little graininess with the slight malt sweetness and bubble gum. Just enough lemon and hops to balance. A teasingly good beer.

3 oz. sample, on tap at the brewhouse. This was the third of 9 Fitger’s beers I tried on 4-4-08. Light aroma of lemon and bubblegum. Pours a cloudy gold with long-lasting head. I’m not getting much in the way of flavors from this beer, although there is a lemon presence. Light body. Lively in the palate.
