Murky orange color with a medium head. Outstandingly powerful aroma of tangerines. Damn, that is different! Very citrusy, but unlike many IPAs that are heavy in that department, this is clearly an orange/tangerine hit, not a vague citrusy flavor. Slight bitterness on the end. I didn’t taste much wood in it, but whatever. Damn tasty brew!

On-tap at the brewpub: 10 oz serving is a clouded dark honey color with a thin off-white cap that laps at the edge of the glass with a bubbly collar and the lacing sticks in strings. Aroma is balmy and sweet with dark toffee and slender fresh pine whilst a superb plummy rummy apricot soaked in bourbon thing radiates over the top. Boubon-esk alcohol is present but wrapped in a tropical whirlwind of darker plump fruits. Gets more apparent as it warms up with the alcohol as the hops begin to take a back seat in this long bus of bourbony fruits. Flavors take that same bus down a one way street called tropical avenue. Although there are a few obstacles and we need to take a few turns. Luckily the directions are planned out for us with a turn at bourbon street then another quick turn right into piney hops alley where it dead ends into a pile of lemon peels, dried apricot, cedary hops and some slight alcoholic burn. We finish the ride there; cindering with tropical bourbon heat as we wait for everyone to get off the bus. Last one off gets the cedary hop burbs. Wow, such a fun and smooth ride with no big bumps anywhere to be found along the trip. A favorable heat and burn takes the seat next to you but pleases you with light talk and no endless drivel, leaving you be with your thoughts while you ponder the other seated friends of fruits and hops. The magic bus has arrived, welcome aboard, no pushing please, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the ride.

Mandarin Orange Coloring with Bubbly Off-White Head. Extremely Pungent Citrus Aroma Which Carries on the Tongue in Equal Force. The Domineering Force in This Brew. Alcohol Warming Very Well Hidden. Medium Mouthfeel. Hoppy Bite Lingers on the Tongue at the End. and the Citrus Never Leaves the Party. Remarkably Still a Smooth IPA.
