Another beer I tasted when I visited this lovely pub which to my taste buds tasted like it was infected. Not nice. I am no expert but I can taste a sour, infected beer, musky, bandaidy - U name it!

On tap at the brewpub. Very, very poor. Seemed like they were trying to make a corona. No real aroma or flavour, very similar to what you find in the fizzy yellow crap. Very thin.

Bottle. Pours a light amber. Some chill haze. Bugger all head. Aroma wize not much to speack off. Pretty mundane. Flavour wise much the same. Certainly would never have picked this as a wheat beer. Drinkable but not much else.

My understanding that this was a wheat ale might have forgiven the phenolic flavours present in what was supposed to be the more accessible beer on the menu. Lack of head rentention (even given the wheat presence) and overpitched yeasty aftertaste led to a rather dissapointing experience.

Tried as a sampler at the Five Island Brewery. Had this one quickly as there was not too much to it, sweet but not overly so and not much else.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2008 RE-RATE: On Tap at the Five Islands Brewery. Arrived yellow with a chilled haze and a white head which dropped before I could take it to my table. Aroma was of sweet dusty malts with chalky band aids notes and a strange saltiness similar to that of mussel brine. Flavor was that of an infected homebrew with sweet malts, strong notes of plastic/band aids, no bitterness and a chalky finish. Light bodied with medium carbonation, a dusty/chalky mouthfeel, watery texture and a short finish. This was truly awful, so bad in fact I was going to ask for my money back, as I could not even finish my half pint.

not sure what went wrong this one. expected a bland but drinkable lager and this was full of flavour but hard to drink. bandaid and honey aroma. tasted of sherbet with medicine and pineapple juice. disturbing
