Cask conditioned handpump Old Fountain London 03/03/14. A dark amber coloured beer with a whitish head. Way too sweet for me. A little coconut though is interesting? Nose is nice hoppy and inviting but then it goes manic sweetness. A bit of London car crash.

300713. Bottle at home. Pours deep dark ruby with a nice head. Aroma floral hops, earthly notes. Not really any rye to it. This is an ok IPA despite the style. Not Bad.

Cask at the Old Fountain during my long day in the Big Smoke with Kenny. Pours clear, deep gold with a tight, off-white cream head. Lightly toasted, bready malts in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with toasty brown bread, light earth and brown sugar. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Moderate bitter toasted bread to finish, light dry toffee. Good stuff.

Orange-maroon body with a deeply tanned head. Nose is fruity, passionfruity, and with a wash of diacetyl and kool-aid. One punchy brew. The body also tastes of diacetyl with a dominance of punchy and twangy flavors. Peach fuzz and very green tasting. Potent. Not my thing.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a dark chesnut brown with a thin off-white head. The aroma is crisp, clean and a little spicy. The flavour is medium bitter, smooth with some dry pepperness on the palate. The finish was weak and a little watery though. Not a classic.

Cask @ The Cock Tavern. Medium amber with a small head. Plenty of toast, some grapefruit and trail mix nuttiness. Toasted wood. The taste is roasted nuts, toffee. Red apples and grapefruit. Light body, smooth, soft carbonation. Overall, solid.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2013 Smells like strawberries! Really good, sweet and spicy, with a bitterness and a rich taste. Something like cloves, with the sweet rye and a whack of bitter. A hint of salt liquorice. Not bags of aroma but the taste is excellent. A deep ruby red.
