A full bodied, aromatic Red Rye ale brewed with malted barley, the addition of 20% Rye to the recipe, and with Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe hops. We think the Rye in the recipe gives some dryness and spice, and the hops add a dash of pine and passion fruit, but see what you think, everyone’s taste buds are different. This is an incredibly flavoursome Red Ale, full of lots of interesting tastes and aromas.

Bottle - no bb or bottling date. Pours a slightly murky browny amber colour with a slightly off white head. Aroma is mildly veg, malty cakey with a little ripe fruit. Light body, medium carb. Apples, red berries, some grapefruit alongside a bit of burnt sugar. Bitter. OK.

330ml bottle from Sourced, St. Pancras. Pours amber with a reddish hue, bit cloudy. Confusing aromas, rye spice, resin hops, burnt sugar all competing for attention. Taste continues the theme, but it doesn’t seem to hang together well enough for me. There’s a good beer in there somewhere.

33cl bottle. Appearance - cloudy amber with a very thin lace head. Nose - fruit and malt combination, gives something like dry bread. Taste - dry burnt raisins, some dry maltiness on the finish. Palate - medium bodied, slightly tangy texture and a dry finish, but still like it even if there’s some astringency. Overall - good beer.

Taster, draught at London Craft Beer Festival. Clear, red-amber coloured body. Lacing rings, minimal head. Herbal hoppy nose. Flavours of dark leafy hops mingled with semi-sweet malts. Rounded dry bitter finish. Medium bodied. Smooth, oily palate. Fine drinkability. (London 16.08.2013).

330ml bottle courtesy of harrisoni - again, thank you, Ian! Slightly hazy reddish amber, large lasting frothy off-white head. Semi-sweet fruity malt (cherry and ... something), definite alcohol, herbal and light resin bitterness - reminds me of a less boozy Fuller Vintage Ale. Thick, light carbonation, malty indeed. Like.
