COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Keg & Bottle; Regular.

A full bodied, aromatic Red Rye ale brewed with malted barley, the addition of 20% Rye to the recipe, and with Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe hops. We think the Rye in the recipe gives some dryness and spice, and the hops add a dash of pine and passion fruit, but see what you think, everyone’s taste buds are different. This is an incredibly flavoursome Red Ale, full of lots of interesting tastes and aromas.

Gravity at Beer Rebellion. Red amber colour, not much head. Aroma is lightly hoppy, red and bit stinky, bit fruity. Taste is similar, lightly fruity. Cherry, strawberry little bit. Ok

Cask gravity at Five Points brewery. Hoppy American amber beer. Sweet fruity malty but nice though. Good hops on the finish. Yes a very good American amber.

Bottle at home, 2nd August 2013. Not a bad amber ale, missing something, compared with my favourites of this style

Quite sugary in the nose. A deep amber red colour, plus quite bitter, decent brew, lightly syrupy.

Cask at Maidenhead Beer Festival 2013, Maidenhead FC, Berkshire. A dark ruby brown coloured pour with virtually no head to speak of. Fruity, caramel aroma. Tastes fruity, caramel, quite bitter, slightly sweet.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2014 Re-rated from a fresh bottle. Massive bitter hops, very zingy and hitting the spot a lot more than last time! Crazy good.

330ml bottle from Borough Wines, Hackney. Pours Mahogany brown, alcoholic liquored nose, extremely bitter with a little zest but shying away from any sweetness. Modest carbonation. Probably a little too bitter for me.

Keg @ The Cock Tavern. Deep reddish brown with a tiny white head. The nose is quite sweet. Loads of caramel, tangy cranberry, pissy new world hops. A bit brash, lively. The taste is toffee, sweet cherry. Burnt brown sugar, coffee cake. Quite sweet. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, solid.

Cask at the Cock Tavern. It pours red-amber with a small white head. The nose is earth, oily hop, tropical fruits... mango, tangerine and touch of barnyard. The taste is red berry, zesty citrus, red grapefruit, assertive bitterness, resin, varnish and a touch of alcohol with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Pretty delicious! Great brew from this new brewery!
