2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl bottle bought from the Wanstead Tap at Wanstead Farmer?s market. A lovely hazy, marmalade body. Initial taste is of fruit (previous reviews of lemon, orange, and grapefruit feel right) and then the bitterness hits. And stays. And lingers some more. Too bitter for my delicate palate.

profumatissima e dall’aspetto splendido con un bel cappello di schiuma pannosa. Ruffiana, godibile e dissetante interpretazione di apa americana.

Bottle. Nice, citrus-woody hops - interesting hop mix. Definitely picking up on that west coast hop feel (and it’s quite rare for me to sort of know what I’m actually tasting hop-wise). Clean finish, it’s got that ever elusive quality of ’crispness’. Goooood.

From cask at The Auld Hoose. Pours light gold with a good frothy head. Aromas of hay, orange peel, tropical fruit and a wee bit of honey. Taste is refreshingly hoppy, then the wheat comes through and balances out the hops.

Bottle. Cloudy golden beer with a strong frothy white head. The aroma is very strongly hopped with a yeasty dryness. The flavour is very bitter and hopped with a good degree of roastedness and yeastiness. Overall a reasonable strongly hopped pale ale.
