330ml bottle from Ales By Mail. Big bubbly tan head, nice lacing. Very dark brown body. Rich chocolate nose, hint of caramel, coffee berries. Flavour is creamy, milk chocolate, coffee, roasted nuts on the finish. Rich creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation, very smooth. Delicious.

Five points railway porter, cask @ GBBF. Deep black with a tan head the nose is roasty peppery coffee. Smooth med-light body with a great creamy coffee flavor. Wonderful stuff, one of my fav stouts at the fest with great balance.

At GBBF. Almost black porter with stable, light beige head; aroma of cocoa, black peppercorns, dried banana, toast, some floral hops. Restrained fruitiness, caramelly sweetishness quickly overcome by dry roasted bitterness but remaining gentle, bit thin body, roasted and florally hoppy bittering finish. Typical old school English porter (to the extent this style is ’recreatable’ from the past, that is). Thanks to Ster from the BeerTemple for the suggestion!

Cask @ The Raven. Almost black, big foamy head. Coffee malt aroma. Chocolate coffee flavour. Sickly sweet aftertaste. Fairly average porter. A bit too sweet.

Cask at the GBBF 2015. High fluffy lasting off-white head. Pitch black body. Powerful roasted malt coffee aroma. Somewhat thinbodied but yet tasty roasted malt coffee flavor with a low carbonation and a long finish.

Nice example of the style - not so much chocolate but a lovely coffee flavour with hints of smoke and vanilla. Smooth palate, very moreish.
