Cask, Alehouse, Chelmsford, 31st March 2015. Thanks, Alex!
Good white lacing. Opaque. Loads of oats and grains and leather on Aroma. Licorice too. Taste is velvet, licorice, leather, blackcurrants. Superbly clean and very drinkable. As a porter this is world-class. No ott roasted notes. A classic trademark porter and this batch is excellent.

Bottle Ales by Mail. Rich black porter, with big roast aroma and hints of rubber and coffee. A little thin on the palate, sour fruit aftertaste, lingering dry finish.
