Cask, Alehouse, Chelmsford, 31st March 2015. Thanks, Alex! Good white lacing. Opaque. Loads of oats and grains and leather on Aroma. Licorice too. Taste is velvet, licorice, leather, blackcurrants. Superbly clean and very drinkable. As a porter this is world-class. No ott roasted notes. A classic trademark porter and this batch is excellent.

Herbal in a pleasant way, mild coffee, persistent bitter end. So good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
