Cask in the Firehouse, Sowerby Bridge. Pours black with a tan head. Sweet with lots of chocolate at first. This is a class porter. Full of flavour and very good.

Bottle @ World Cup Tasting @ Hallinghansen. Pours nearly black with a creamy head. Roast, ashtray, charcoal and cigarette butts. Some salty licorice.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This inky black beer pours with a bright tan head. It has rich liquorice and chocolate flavours, roasted coffee notes and a creamy smooth milk chocolate finish. Very good indeed.

I like it. On the sweet side for a porter. Fairly light with roasted coffee and chocolate from the malt. Not salty as I find some porters to be.

Color negro, espuma beige. Aromas de café, chocolate, galleta. Cuerpo medio y textura sedosa con inicio dulce de cacao y chocolate que acaba en un a.argot equilibrado y tostado. Muy rica.

Draft @ BrewDog Edinburgh. Aroma of black malts, some alcohol, berries. Black with no head - last one of four jills. Taste is dry bitterness, roasted sweetness. Light sweetness. Finish is charcoal dry. Soapy texture. Light carbonation. Good body.
