Cask conditioned at The Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London. Black with ruby hue and off white head. There is an initial sweetness with a coffee background, light, americano style and roasted malts. Some port wine notes following through later on. Pretty good.

hand pump at The CASK, London UK. Poured black with a thin creamy brown head. Coffee aroma. Watery texture. Full, roasted malt flavour with smokey coffee notes, medium bitterness.

Draught in The Cask, London - 25/8/11. Nice looking dark beer. Chocolate taste with a nice dry, smokey finish. Pleasingly bitter as well.

Cask-conditioned at the Cask Pub and Kitchen 19/08/2011. Near black in colour with next to no head. Charred, chocolate and black coffee aroma. Flavour was sweet up front, with some caramel and dark fruits, before bitter chocolate and roasted malts took over, culminating in a dry finish. Very good.
