3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33cl bottle into glass. Athens.
An interesting beer, like a chocolate lager. Doesn’t have the body to be a stout, and not especially strong. The flavor is okay, roasted barley and some chocolate notes. Light body. It’s a decent beer for Greece standards.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
(330 ml bottle (’limited edition’) at souvlaki restaurant, Athens; ’limited edition’)
Dark brown beer with red glints. Dark beige head. (4-)
Aroma is stale coffee and caramel.
In the mouth, which is watery and has lively but not utterly silly
carbonation, the caramel isn’t as evident as the stale coffee.
The finish has more caramel than the mouth. There’s some roast, which
builds a little.
Simple but not bad. I’m not getting any hops really.
Unusually, Phil did not share this.

Bottle. Black beer with a strong off white head. The aroma is lightly roasted, and the flavour is gently bitter with a good strong degree of oaty roastedness. Overall a nice roasted beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[330ml bottle] Black pour with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly nutty, but mostly roasted malt and a touch of coffee. Similar flavours, the aftertaste is a touch thin but other than that a pretty good dunkel – solid roasty element to the finish
