Bottles in Palaiokastritsa, Corfu. Congealed candlewax, raffia, almond, glue and lemon hints aroma (probably mozzie repellant)- pretty unappetising.. Couldnt drink this the other night; tonight I’m struggling- bilious regurgitated sweetcorn, licked stamp and gluey, brackish rancid fat/almond flavour. Pale gold with a wisp of halo. Flat, fatty, lacking fizz or corn sweetness, even.. I’ve had better bottles, but this is a rancid, sub-Albanian mess.

This is an average beer even if one rates it as an International Lager, a category, where the herbal strength does not need to overwhelm. This beer is relatively flat taste-wise, with no variation from the onset until the aftertaste. All in all a mediocre beer.

Bottle at the King George, Athens (5/25/15) & some cans at the Swiisport Lounge, Athens Airport (6/3/15), Rating this off a combination of those sampling notes, which were quite similar.
Clear golden color, decent sized fizzy white head on top. Aroma of malty/grainy notes, some hay, grass, and a little corn. Similar flavor, lightly sweet, not much else beyond that. Okay mouthfeel. Maybe a little thin, but drinkable. This isn’t an amazing beer, but as far as generic lagers go, you could do a lot worse.

330ml can purchased and consumed with dinner in Athens, GR. Clear amber body has low carbonation but a relatively dark color for style. Aroma: about equal levels of malts and hops. Sweet. Flavor: tiny bit less malts than hops. O: slightly better than Heineken; substantially better than Tiger (Singapore).
