Lun er ein moderat bitter Brown Ale med eit nøtteaktig maltpreg og ein varm ettersmak.

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Deep dark hazy brown with red ish glow when held in light. Medium sized creamy light beige foamy head. Aromas of hop fruits like grapes, apricot, fruity grass, light toast, some sweet raisin, light chalky, toast, soap and flowers. Flavours of grapes, sweet berries, light orange/tangerine, light wood and malt tones, some hops and herbs, light nutty, light soapy, hint of flowers, some sweet hay toast and some bitters. Quite fruity. Aftertaste is malty, bitter, fruity, light hay and nutty, with a sweet dry bitter tone. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.

A rich and hearty brown ale that improves when not drunk too cold. The nutty flavour is quite pleasant.

My Bottom Line:
Roasted chestnuts and hazelnut caramel join in this nicely effervescent Brown Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the dark brown.
-Hop earthiness concludes each sip.
-Carbonation is prickly and the mouthfeel is lean.
-Drinkability is quite high.

Misty deep nut brown body with aa small light brown head. Malty, toasted bread and pine fill the nostrils. Pleasant bittersweet flavors with coffee notes and a nice piney, nutty finish. Medium bodied. Smooth. This is pretty good stuff.

0.5l bottle from #5. This one pours a deep dark brown body, not possible too see through it and it has a small town medium sized light bubbly and light lacing brown top. On the nose I get tones of chocolate and fruity hops. It has a nice non extreme sweetness also, almost like chocolate ice cream. It’s definitely not too complex, but I have to admit that I like what I smell. It has a really soft carbonation level dangerously near too flat and it’s gliding oily in the mouth. Lots and lots of sweet milky chocolate and chocolate ice cream in the taste. Vanilla tones and a decent amount of sweetness here. Roasted nuts and it’s actually a quite identifiable alcohol present here. Did not expect that from a lightweighter like this. Lots of flavor in a mild brown ale. Ends light chalky. Not bad at all. 28.10.2013

My Norwegian rating # 1000. Bottle from Meny Oslo City. Lovely notes of roasted grain. Nuts, malt, coffee and chocolate. Clean and elegant, for a new brewery this is very impressive.
