COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: A light but full-bodied ale with 2 different types of hops. The mild flavor is a combination of the sweetness from the aroma malt and the bitterness from the hops. A refreshing beer which can be enjoyed with good food or chilled in the heat of summer. Ale is not pasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned, because of this sediment can occur and the beer should be poured gently to prevent sediment in the glass. Brewed with malt, water, yeast and hops. Best served at 8-10 degrees celsius.

Sampled at Horsens Beerfestival as Fjordens Lyne Ale. Hazy reddish golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma is weak malty, fruity and traces of hops. Flavor is neutral, sweet malty, some fruit and rather anonymous.

Bottled@Timo A tasting. hazy orange colour with small white head. Aroma is caramel, hops, grass and some herbs, yeast and wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, quite sweet malty as well as some yeastyness. Very much Belgian ale over it.

(Bottled, BB 12/2008). Thanks Timo A. A bit hazy orange color, not much head. Apricot, yeast, sweetish nose. Some grassy hops, apricots - fruity and sugary flavor. Flat mouthfeel. More Belgian than English ale.

From Voldby, DK. Bottled, 300608. Unclear amber. Aroma of malt and fruit notes. Flavor is of caramel and red berries - though with a tangy note (infection?)

Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. A little Belgian perhaps. Bit nothingy. Mes and Duff thought it was infected. Some citrus.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2008 500ml bottle from DagliBrugsen, Lyne. BBE December 2008. Hazy amber colour. I think I got a similar, appley, slightly infected character that others have noted. The aroma and flavour were certainly a little odd but I found it difficult to put my finger on exactly how. Mouthfeel was thin and watery. Not great.

A Mes rate: Bottle at the Oi Oi Saveloy tasting at Chris O’s.
Light amber with a thin white film. Slight hops, some fruit, slight infection. Bland as hell. As imaginative as the name of this beer.

Tasted 2008-03-16. Bottle. Pours hazy orange with no head. Aroma of metal and sweet malts. Flavour is weak of grain with no bitterness. It’s wattery and way under carbonated. It sucks! And to think I paid 7 bucks for this one!!!

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Hazy, amber colour with a short, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and mouldy yeasty and cara-malty nose with a citrus-fruity (mandarin) touch. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft if not flat carbonation. Yeasty and fruity taste, cara-malty with a subtle spicy level; slim and slightly bitter, fruity malty finish with a whiff of hops. Not a gem.

50 cL bottle. Pours a bit hazy and orange with a little lacing head. Slight apple fruity nose. Flavour is citric and has a apple like note. This must be a bit infected, not revolting though. Soft malty, slight sweet flavour. A mild bitterhops appears and takes the flavour into a more dry experience into the finish.
