COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English The Evil Lyneme: We all know the expression "The Evil Lyneme" comes from "The Evil Lyne me." Now we have at the brewery in Lyne made a "bad" beer, which used six different malts. It is a strong dark beer with a nice efterarome. It is sweet but with a nice slightly bitter taste. The aroma comes from the Saaz hops and the taste is from Golding hops. The Evil Lyneme is unpasteurized, unfiltered and after fermentation in the bottle. Therefore, precipitates occur, and the beer should be poured carefully to avoid precipitate in the glass.

Black with brown highlight, tiny tan head. The aroma has notes of dried fruits, ashes and licorice, and celery, and not in any harmony whatsoever. Sweet with grainy malt and hard roasted notes. I guess the recipe still needs some work...

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 25, 2011

Dark brown color, not much head. Sour, woody aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite flat mouthfeel. Sour, woody with some caramel malts. Quite a disaster - goddammit.

"Den onde lyneme" means "goddammit" and pretty much desicribes the brewers expression when he tasted this beer...

yngwie (9201) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2010
Bottle. It’s a clear, watery-looking beer, next to black in color, and topped by a minimal tan head. Some sourness on the nose, but mostly burnt, charcoal-like aromas. A touch of dark chocolate appears after a while. Charcoal flavor, coffee-like burnt notes and some chocolate. Roasted-sour finihs. Dry and thin. Very strange structure for a 8.5% beer, suspect it’s sligthly off. A strange, but drinkable one. 100327
