COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Fjord Breeze is a powerful beer with a fresh, yet full-bodied flavor and a golden color. Just to enjoy on the terrace or at the lunch table. Tastes good to a lovely fish and seafood. It is a wheat beer, where "body" is made from wheat and pilsner malt, and "soul", ie. the delicate flavor and light bitterness comes from Pearl aroma and Tettnanger hops. Fjord Brise is unpasteurized, unfiltered and after fermentation, easy on the bottle. Precipitate may occur and one should therefore avoid shaking the bottle before pouring.

Clear golden color, small white head. LIght sour and green apple fruity aroma. Light bodied, very watery palate. Citrusy, acidic flavor with non-existing malt profile. Sour and empty like all Fjordens beers I’ve had. I couldn’t finish this bottle.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2010 Bottle at Kolding Ølmesse, as Hvede. Pours a hazy, yellowish body with a white head. Sweet, yet dryish nose with a little spicyness. Not much banana or citrus neither in the aroma nor in the flavor, but some is detected. There’s also some wheat. Medium body. What a boring weizen. It’s sure drinkable, and probably refreshing in the heat, but I suggest putting your money in something better and probably cheaper from Franziskaner or Paulaner. Rating: 4-3-4-3-8-2.2. 080229

Bottle. A clear, golden beer topped by a minimal white head. Citrusy, fruity and sourish nose. Milky sourness, fruits and citrus juice in the flavor, citrusy finish. Quite low on bitterness, even for a golden ale. Thin and dry. An easy drinkable beer, but off. 100327
