Cask @ Charles Dickens, Southwark SE1. Pours a golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with hoppy citrus in the aftertaste.

Cask @ The Bricklayers, Poole in perfect condition; golden brown in appearance; biscuity malt predominates in the taste and lengthy finish, some good balancing hop notes; a pleasing mouthfeel; medium bitterness; dryish; no particularly strong characteristics but amounts to more than the sum of its parts, with the requisite moreishness of the very best best bitters

Bottle conditioned but with very little carbonation resulting in no head but a smooth slightly syrupy texture. Aromas I got were malt, citrus, leather and marzipan. Quite bitter in taste after an initial sweetness. Tangy aftertaste.
