Full bodied to the bottom of the glass. Complex flavors going on here, coffee, chocolate, licorice - all blend together beautifully to form a masterful porter of distinction. highly recommended! artvandalay (16), USA

Can be a bit challenging. This is the porter to set sites on if you really wanna know this genre. Some are bigger(sam smith), some are mellower. This one gives lots of real full flavors, that go great with a big fat steak. Reid (1093), Salem, Oregon, USA

The beer pours a nice dark mahogany brown with a good sized tan head,,though it goes down pretty quick all in all a good looking beer.
I liked the aroma of this beer,,very roasted malts so very chocolaty..but yet fresh.
again nice taste very cocoa like in the first instance then a dark coffee flavour takes over,,theres a hint of bitterness at the end( hops)
Feels very comfortable on the tongue,,tasty!
A quite drinkable Porter..i liked it,,very nicelly done.

It seems that most porters come off as watery or too stouty. This one knows what it is trying to do and it succeeds. Opaque with absolutely no head. Sweetness and coffee bitterness. A very good example of the style and easy to drink in every way. A good intro to non Porter drinkers Tastes like an old style and its historical nature appeals to the history buff in me. Also enjoyed George Washingtons Porter. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA

Slight boozy aroma but deep burnt sugar, plum and oak notes. Nice dryness on the tongue followed by coffee and tobacco flavors. Nice body and quenching too. Almost a smoked porter. VERY nice. nicaboy (11), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
