0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2012 330 ml can at the airport in Mali. Well even bad for African Flag standards. I did not see the pour but it smells funny and tastes almost as bad. Palate is offensive. Big time drain pour.

1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
This is one of the worst beer I’ve ever had to drink. Live in West Africa long enough and you won’t be able to resist trying it. I’ve done a blind taste test with Flag, Beaufort, Gazelle and Castel and I can always distinguish Flag without even tasting it because it has the slight aroma of aluminum. It has a slightly sour taste, and is not quite smooth. Taste varies bottle to bottle because of the formaldehyde.

Yo..if you’re in Mali, this beer isn’t bad. anywhere else, and it kinda sucks. sour smelling and bitter tasting, it will get you by in a pinch -like it has for me the last few weeks- but it will leave you looking forward to your favorite as soon as you can get your hands on it.-SNR

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
A pale yellow beer with a white head. The arom ais sour and malty, while the flavor is sweet malty with an underlying sourness probably from some sort of brewing cereal.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Sampled at our own little ’Country Festival’ during Københavnske Øldage 2006.
Clear golden, snow white head. Sweaty aroma, bit of hop. Not that bad just pretty inunteresting. Grainy and citrusy with some bitterness showing in the end. Definately one of the better of the "festival"!

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
[Bottled] Clear golden, no head. Light papery nose. Swetish, fizzy and bland. Paper dominates, otherwise it’s fairly clean flavourwise. No bitterness.
