Bottle shared at tasting at my house. Pours gold. Nose of smoked barley and smoked pond water. Taste is dirty guano filled water, cooked vegetables that have been sitting around for awhile. Light body.

Bottle. Gold with a thin head. Weird sweetish notes, cardboard, creamed corn, and stagnant water. If James keeps getting this shit you bet your ass I’m gonna keep on drinking it. Why? Because I am a sick, sick individual.

Bottle at a tasting at James’s place. Pours a clear gold, no head. Smells like dead caramel. Medium bodied, tastes of garbage water. One of the most vile things I’ve tried to consume. But sadly, not the worst. Lingering vegetal smokiness. Really horrible.

Botte. From the German RateBeer gathering Spring 2011 in Idar Oberstein courtesy of Bierkrug. Sour barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with nice head. Sweet barley malt and light hops flavor. Not horrible - would be okay if stuck in Niger.

330 ml bottle in Niger. Pours a very pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet papaer and some malt comming through. Taste is a weak and watery with some sweet malt coming through as well. Palate is very weak but not offensive. I found this beer better than the Togo version.
