dwyerpg (2094), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA May 22, 2007 A very creamy porter, with a milky/frothy flavor. Sweet, too much so for me. Interestingly, almost seems thicker than the stout. eaglefan538 (2077), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Sep 20, 2006 Poured a beautiful brown color with a nice concave up tan head (looked like it was on Nitro, but it wasn’t), great lacing all the way down. Very enticing. The aroma was mostly coffee, light fruitiness and light coffee. The flavor was initially pretty sweet, turning to a little bit of a zing in the finish (not really hoppy though). Odd, really grew on me as I drank this pint. With increased temperatures a cherry/choco combo started to impress and make this just smooth with a bitter dry cocoa bean lingering taste in the finish (quite nice, though). Mouthfeel was only moderate for the level of flavor in this one, I enjoyed it. Bockyhorsey (2032), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 6, 2005 Sweet licorice aroma. Dark red bodywith tan head. Flavor was sweet as well. Didn’t get any of that roasted flavor but maybe because of the nasty pizza I was eating at the brewery ruined that. erway (1001), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Dec 10, 2004 Updated: Nov 11, 2005A deep btrown w/ a light tan head. Sweetish malt aromas with no hops. Sweet and caramelly, w/ no roastiness. A little too sweet. Typical of the brewery.
re-rate- This is just loaded with diacety. No way of getting around it. Just loaded. Jeppe (2636), Ølbutikken, Denmark Sep 1, 2004 Draught at Flagstaff Brewing Company, Flagstaff, Arizona. Light tan head, amber colored body. Too light for a porter! Roasted aroma, tones of coffee and little smoke. Very sweet in the flavor, malty with an earthly tone. Quite strange and too sweet and not really my kind of porter.
