A full-bodied, full-flavored black beer topped with a creamy brown head. Sweet chocolaty overtones are balanced by a subtle malt and hop bitterness. Served under nitrogen pressure to provide the smoothest taste. Original Gravity: 16.0 Plato, I.B.U.: 12

On nitro at the source. Some lace. Roast but nitro kills any complexity. Not very drinkable.

On tap @ Flagstaff Brewing. Black in color with a dense khaki head. Roasted malt and coffee on the nose. Some molasses, caramel, and licorice. Kind of ashy and earthy. Flavor has a lot of licorice and burnt sugar to it. Plenty of coffee and roasted malt. A little bit of cocoa powder. Probably the best of their four.

Draft - Lots of chocolate with malty caramel sweetness. Almost a clear dark amber with a decent brown head. Roast with the same caramel backbone. This is just a darker version of their porter.

On tap at Flag brew. Dark brown/black pour with avg egg shell head. Didnt last too long. Getting some roasted aromas but mostly sweetness. Taste is good but again Id like a little more roastedness and some charcoal. Getting alot of chocolate but its lacking body and bittering hops. Not a bad drinker overall

This is a great stout... it has a tiny bit of IPA... has a sweet flavor still. Had at brew pub which is a great place which has live music often. This was a great stout.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep black with a small tan head. Aroma of toasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Sharp-burnt taste, of toasted malt, dark chocolate, and coffee. Lingering burnt flavors and a creamy mouthfeel. Not bad.
