3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Typical looking amber. Iím not picking up any aroma hops, but when you taste this, BAM! The hop bite is there. I like my ambers with a nice hoppy bitter back-bite; I am not a fan of typical ambers (too sweet). These guys make a good one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear reddish/amber color with about an inch frothy tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. The brew smells like toasted and bready malt, caramel, nuts, and some herbal/spicy hops. Taste is mostly like the aroma, but with the addition of some citrusy hops and dark bread flavors. Thereís also a good amount of hoppy bitterness in this brew. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís smooth and has low/moderate carbonation. Also easy to drink. Itís one of the better amber ales Iíve had recently. I wouldnít mind trying this one again in the future. $2.49 a single.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent red brown colored body. The mild aroma was bready and dough. The bubbly mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering aftertaste. The bubbly flavor contained notes of bread dough. Not one that I would likely drink again why to bubbly/carbonated for my taste.

19 apr 2013, bottle. Bright brown/pink, almost clear. Nose is sweet malt, tea, faintly soapy. Thin/med body and faintly fizzy. Peppery, slightly caramel malt. Really popped and fizzed when I opened the bottle. Thought it was going to be bad but it was just okay.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle via trade. I was honestly expecting nothing from this beer and found out it was really decent, nah this is a good amber. Poured an unimpressive honey brown body of a slightly thinner density with a foamy quick fading super light beige head. Aroma is where this one started to pick it up, lots of caramel malts, toast, nut shells and even a hint of peanut butter. The body is a little watery with strong carbonation and a quick fading aftertaste, sort of sodaish. Flavor is like the aroma, light caramel malts, some slight molasses, toast, amber malts, cereal grains. Solid stuff that I could sip on.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Well, this seemed closer to an IPA than an Amber. Nicely hoppy, with plenty of malty. caramel flavors to back it up. Some subtle fruity notes, too. I liked this more than I expected.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours reddish brown, with off white head. Basically a sweet malt aroma, a bit of some nuttiness. Flavor is more of the sweet malt and nut. Maybe some caramel. Something is just cant place it. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle... Clear burnt-amber ale with a ridiculously huge, frothy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. Either this is over-carbonated or itís in the early stages of infection. The nose boasts caramel, nuts and toast. Full-bodied with airy carbonation. The flavor is bittersweet -more bitter than sweet - with caramel and citrus rinds really standing out. Lengthy, metallically bitter finish. Overall, this beer is disjointed. The rindy, metallic bitterness doesnít meld at all with the caramel sweetness. They are entirely separate, ill-timed components. However, despite its flaws, I actually enjoyed this one overall. The entirety is definitely greater than its fragmented parts. I canít for the life of me remember who provided this one, but thanks.

Decent amber. Very roasty and malt forward. Toast, bread crust, nuts and dark grains. Subtle sweetness. Mild grassy bitterness. Somewhat drying.
