Typical looking amber. I’m not picking up any aroma hops, but when you taste this, BAM! The hop bite is there. I like my ambers with a nice hoppy bitter back-bite; I am not a fan of typical ambers (too sweet). These guys make a good one.

Taster in a whiskey glass - nose is butter. Sips ads citrus and a general hippiness. Not like any macro amber. Dude behind the bar called it a mix between fat tire and stone IPA: dead on.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated on 4-09-2011 at Flat 12. This draft beer pours a small ivory head with a lengthy retention, amber transparent body, visible carbonation, and a generous amount of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, citrus and some pine hops. The taste is bitter, caramel malt, citrus, and pine. The mouthfeel is tingly carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is very quaffable with a nice hop presence.

Bottle. Orange brown pour with an off white head. More caramel, coffee and hoppyness in the aroma and taste than the average amber. Pretty good stuff.

12 oz. bottle in trade with Fletche00. Brown color, with a medium, tan head. The aroma is molasses, resin, light coffee, and orange rinds. Light roasty sweetness and a pretty good hop bitterness. Medium body, chalky, sticky, and a little astringent. Overall, this is nice, over-hopped amber.

12oz bottle, thanks to caterwaul. Clear red color, slightly orange, mostly red. Thin off-white head. Decent lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Toasty malt, lighter caramel. Some earthy, spicy hop, light hints of dark fruit. Moderate bitter taste, lighter sweet. A very solid, hoppy, more bitter amber ale. Still malty, and kind of sweet, though.
