COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Half Cycle is so named due to its marriage of single and double IPA characteristics. In baseball parlance, a single and double is half of “the cycle”, and this IPA is a heavy hitter. It’s a single IPA, hopped like a double, with an over-the-top hop character that’s a bit spicy, citrusy, piney, you make the call. Light in color, but not on flavor, this big boy is dry hopped with a pound of high alpha American hops in every barrel. ABV: 6% IBU: 104.1

Golden pour with a white head. Aromas of citrus and pine. Flavor is similar with a nice hoppy bite to it on the finish. I didn;t think it was quite as hoppy as the description implied but still respectable. I enjoyed it,

Bought a 6 on a trip to Indy, this is a nice "lighter" IPA. Very drinkable with solid IPA characteristics. Overall a good find.

Can from StFun. Thanks! Pours orange-gold with a small off-white head. The aroma has some nice fruity notes of pineapple and oranges, as well as doughy malt, and resinous hops. The flavor has this toasty cracker malt to it that’s quickly noted. The hops definitely initially tilt more reinous/pine than the fruity character picked up in the scent. It’s not until after it sits a few minutes does any citrus flavor come out. This is sharp and bitter in the mouth. High on substance and bitterness; packs a punch for a mere 6%, but lacks some depth. I keep thinking I’m actually tasting bitterness. Obviously that’s an exaggeration but I wouldn’t mind more subtle nuances here. An enjoyable IPA nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours a deep orange copper with white head. Aroma is a floral citrus. Taste is a combo of pine, orange zest and hops. Something a little acidic and off-putting here. Part of a mix six at a grocer, so not sure how long it was on the shelf, to be fair.

Bottle, thanks to ridglens, 01/15/2014. Pours orange amber, white head rests to a haze on the surface, soapy ring of lacing around the glass. Aroma is mild orange hop essence, quite grassy, wort-like maltiness. Taste is mild citrus, intense pine bitterness, toasted malts. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle courtesy of Pedro. Pours a hazy gold with thick, fluffy, white head – gusher – and seafoam lacing. Aroma of grain, light citrus and pine. Medium to light body, medium bitterness, dry finish. Some hop flavor – citrus and pine but probably a little stale

355mL thanks to tastybeer! Clear lighter orange with excellent white lacing. Nose is pretty fresh tangerine, perfume, clementine. Taste is soapy, dry, harsh bitterness, but still drinkable. Palate is sharp, nutty, Brazil nut, nut shells.

Good and hoppy with a nice aroma but not my favorite IPA. Definitely drinkable in a pinch.
