COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Half Cycle is so named due to its marriage of single and double IPA characteristics. In baseball parlance, a single and double is half of “the cycle”, and this IPA is a heavy hitter. It’s a single IPA, hopped like a double, with an over-the-top hop character that’s a bit spicy, citrusy, piney, you make the call. Light in color, but not on flavor, this big boy is dry hopped with a pound of high alpha American hops in every barrel. ABV: 6% IBU: 104.1

12oz bottle from StFun. Thanks! Pours a lightly cloudy light orange with a finger of thick white head. Aroma of sweet citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is light bitter. A little pine with grapefruit and other citrus. Light bodied with a relatively slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, really good. I would gladly drink this one again. Thanks a lot.

For better or worse, this one reminded me of Avery IPA - Very assertive bitterness, but also a weird astringency that get more tedious the more you drink it. I really liked it at first - lots citrus, nicely earthy and steel flavors, too. It seemed to get more astringent as it warms. Nice for an occasional IPA, but wouldn’t be my go-to.

Pours mostly clear deep gold wit a generous white head. Citrus and pine aroma. The flavor is assertive bitterness with enough malt support to make this one a very nice IPA. Long bitter finish.

Pretty nice looking beer, nice orange hue. The aroma really hits you with hops. A bit of citrus, and a bit of mary jane. The flavor is about the same, not overly bitter. A decent amount of malt character, more than I like personally. But it all comes together well. Nice beer.

BoostIPA (1216) - Pouring Bus, New York, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Pours a clears light amber with a pretty nice white head. Aromas of grassy and citrus hops. Really nice aroma, in fact. Taste is a very nice citrus bomb, very chewy tropical fruits. Not sweet or cloying at all... Just pure juicy fruit goodness. Very long, dry, bitter finish. The fact that this beer is very juicy without being stupid sweet with crystal malt makes this beer great. My goodness, what a long finish. This beer is top fucking notch. Beautiful.

12oz bottle via trade with fletche00, thanks Zach. Poured a good looking clear rusty orange body with a smaller sized frothy mostly white head. Aroma has a little bit of all the different hop typres going on, lots of cat piss, some dried out old citrus rinds, older pine needles, dirty earth and some hop resin too. Nice palate with a medium mouthfeel that is dry with a lingering aftertaste and average carbonation. Flavor is similar to the aroma but the cat piss is played down with the earthiness picking up, the rest is rounded out by old citrus rind and some rather old pine needles along with old citrus meat, especially yellow grapefruit, along with older hop leaves. Solid beer.

Good IPA, but there are many I like better(even locally). I'd buy again, if the price was reasonable. Everything about it is great at the beginning, but it doesn't finish well... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Poured amber with an off-white head that left light lace. Aroma of pine and light citrus. The flavor pine with a caramel backing. Medium body and medium bitterness.

Gross. Smells like weed, and to be honest it pretty much tastes like eating weed. I don’t know what the hype is with this beer. I love IPAs but this is crap.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and citric with some dank and piney notes though plenty of caramel and biscuit. Flavor has a lot of sweetness, some orange marmalade with a bit of pine and herbal notes before a bitter finish. Medium body and sharp carbonation.
