The Half Cycle is so named due to its marriage of single and double IPA characteristics. In baseball parlance, a single and double is half of “the cycle”, and this IPA is a heavy hitter. It’s a single IPA, hopped like a double, with an over-the-top hop character that’s a bit spicy, citrusy, piney, you make the call. Light in color, but not on flavor, this big boy is dry hopped with a pound of high alpha American hops in every barrel. ABV: 6% IBU: 104.1

can. Golden with one finger head. Fairly light body with a huge bitter kick from the hops. It’s not entirely my taste in IPAs, but based on the description text on the can, they hit what they were shooting for. a definite hop bomb.

Bottle - good size foamy head, dark straw color with lots of "floaties", big pine and citrus hop aroma and flavor, moderate biscuity backbone, mildly dank finish, pretty good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 7, 2016 Not impressed at all. This is nothing but a bottle of bitter. It starts with an almost earthy, grasslike taste. Like something you shouldn’t eat. Lol. Then it just buries you in bitterness. UPDATE: Have to say, after having this another day, without having a different brew beforehand, I’m much happier with this. Still has earthy tones but the bitter doesn’t overwhelm. Not a bad beer.

Lätt beslöjad orange öl med vitt skum. Doft av citrus, främst röd grapefrukt, och tallbarr. I smaken så tar en kraftig grapefruktbeska över lite för mycket för min smak.

hotstuff (4874) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 12, 2016
Rated on 01-12-2016 (Bottle) The appearance is a medium sized off-white head that is mostly lasting, transparent yellow body, fizzy carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is citrus, pine hops, floral, orange, and malt. The flavor is moderately bitter, citrus, pine hops, and some malt. The mouthfeel is somewhat aggressive and this beer is medium-full bodied. A quaffable IPA but the hop flavor could be better than it is.

Poured into a perfect pint. Bottle. 3.5 A: Clear light orange color. Two fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention is about average and a short ring of lacing is left. 4.0 S: Bright floral and citrusy hops. Grapefruit and pine underneath. Hop forward, but also contains a pleasant caramel and crackery malty backbone. Really nice. 3.75 T: Tastes like it smells. Mild-moderate bitterness. Floral, citrus, grapefruit, and piney hop flavor. Caramel and cracker malt. 4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Moderately creamy and super smooth. 4.0 D: Surprisingly good beer. I had never heard of this brewery until I bought this beer, so I didn’t know what to expect. ★ 704 characters DavoleBomb, Mar 05, 2015

Flaska. Oklar mörkorange öl med ett stort och långvarigt lätt smutsat skum. Dofter och smaker av malt, grapefrukt, apelsinskal och tall. Medel mot stor beska, lätt men tillräcklig sötma. Medelkropp.

Hazy gold pour with a two finger creamy to soapy eggshell head. Aroma is caramel, biscuit, fruity, floral and citrus hops, hints of pine, melon and toasty bread. Flavor is caramel, bread, herbal hops, light spiciness and a hint of dankness up front, then husky, astringent grain, woody astringency and pine. Light body, medium, sharp carbonation, dry, slightly astringent finish with a notable hop acid bite. Pretty god overall, very bitter and dry, but well balanced enough to not make those qualities unpleasant.

Aroma is light pine, fruit and a hint of spices. The flavor is hops, grapefruit, malts and a unique tart/bitter finish.
