Pours a lighter copper with a white head of foam.aroma is sweet citrus and tangy, near tartness seeking in there. Definitely not a sour, but just kind of on the verge. Reminds my of a wheat IPA, but made to be just a little tart and dryhopped with Aussie hops. Absolutely delicious.

Had this at Erik’s house out of growler. Not a bad wheat beer just very tart due to kiwi? Nice and refreshing

Draft to taster at Flat 12 (from last weekend’s notes). Looks solid; a slightly hazy gold with thin white lacing. Smells doughy and skunky (although not aversively so) with notes of kiwi. Tastes like it smells with a tart, dry mouthfeel. Okay.

Draft on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Excited for this filtered and re-branded version. Pours a nice golden hue, nice haziness, lively carbonation, some orange golden glow on the edges and body. A looser whitish ring laces ok atop, sticks around as a filmy layer. Aromas are richer kiwi, green fruity hops and citrus, some firm florals. Touches of bready malt, gentle fruit, and a bit of crisp dough. Initial is fruity and tart, kiwi mixes with the apple and banana estery feel. Touches of firm bitterness, lively tart and fruity kiwi. Some bread, florals, and grass. Earthy hops press on, medium bitterness. Front really pops. Middle is tart and dry, firmly sustained initial pop. A bit bready, dry, estery fruit elements come through as we push on, banana, bread, flaked wheat. A touch of bubblegum, faint clove. Sustained kiwi, citrusy and fruity hops. Bready dryness, bitter earthy and citrusy hops, a synergy with that kiwi addition that is just lovely. Tart, bitter, and refreshing finish. Lingering fruit, dry bread, bit of ester, straw. Quite lovely. A bit more clean and fruity than the original Hefe, but I’d say a bit less hoppy overall, more preaching the fruit element. Really nice. Nose could use a touch more of the hop character. Remember the Hefe being stronger in hop potency. Prefer it.. But this is still nice.
