Tap at source. Chocolate malt and light smoky aroma. Dark black color with small brown head. Sweet milk chocolate malt and lightly bitter herbal hops flavor. Very nice.

Draft at brewpub. Poured a black color with a medium off-white creamy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium toasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texturearbonation. Medium toasted milk sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration. Good drinkable brew.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of lots of roasted malt, some coffee. Flavor features more of the sweet lactose as well as burnt/charred malt and a hint of coffee. Not what I expect from a milk stout, as the lactose is well blended with the roasted malt so it does not stand out too much. Yummo!

Very nice. I was really in the mood for a Milk Stout. This hit the spot. Smells like iced coffee and mild roasted grains. Coffee is light to medium. Not over done. At the same time it doesn’t feel watered down. OK, so maybe this isn’t the biggest, richest, fullest bodied stout. It’s not...not even close. To me though, it’s very seasonably appropriate. I tasted this towards the end of a really hot summer. It’s perfect for right now. A mild milk stout. Not too sweet either.

Pours dark brown with pathetic tiny white head. The bubbles stick to the side of the glass making it look very cola-like. Aroma is very faint and is made up mostly of roasted grains/coffee. Flavor is sweet roasted malt, with hints of bitter chocolate and a coffee finish. Kind of reminds me of Chocola. That’s not a good thing.

Dark pour with a thin off white head. Aroma of coffee and light chocolate. Taste is very similar. Light but this beer lacked the creamy texture of sweet stouts, a little light on the body and mouthfeel.

tap at the brewery - Pours black with a tan head. The aroma is of dark roast malt and coffee. The flavor has good roast and coffee elements with a touch of lactose. This medium to full bodied brew has a roasty finish. Quite tasty.

Sampled on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a murky blackish hue, some lighter brown edges with small frothy tannish head laces small. Aromas are touches of sweet lactose sugars, light roasted malts, a touch of cocoa, vanilla, irish soda bread, and some sweeter toffee, coffee grounds, coffee and cream. Initial is medium bodied, preaching sweeter coffee and cream, roasted barley, soda bread, vanilla cream, light cocoa, coffee grounds, some toffee, biscuits. Sweeter slanted, vanilla and cream cut into the roasted malts, a bit heavy, but tasty. An ok sweet stout, a bit heavy on the milky sugar for me as it covers up most of the roast. But that’s personal preference. Pretty sweet overall, but that’s how some people roll in their Milk Stout preferences. It reminds me of Dunk-a-Roos frosting from my youth. It’s a good beer, just more for a sweet minded drinker
