my local party store had this brought back in a growler from indiana and im from michigan.got to say i was soooo impressed.amber ale?not how i would described it and was really surprised it was only 6 percent abv.poured amber with a nice head especially since it was in a growler.aroma was very nice and apparent.love it when you take in the aroma and its not faint.the description given is dead on.bourbon, vanilla and for me,a nice oak flavor.had a good hop balance with all the flavors.had a medium body with a bitter woody finish.has an warming alchohol feeling for 6 percent.i want this beer to come to michigan.my nephew is from indianapolis so i will definitely be there at the brewery the next time im down there.

Tap at Fickle Peach: Served in standard pint glass. Pours a reddish brown hue with a small but lasting frothy head, good lace. The aroma and taste is vanilla, caramel, light bourbon, grassy hops and earthy. A tad sweet but still easily drinkable. The favorite amongst my non beer geeks bowling team.

Fobab 2012. Very strange idea with this one. Poured a reddish color with a beige head. Aroma was bourbon and vanilla and light metallic notes. Flavor wasn;t as barrel forward as expecting,s omewhat bland amber base with light bourbon and vanilla sweetness. Meh.

Fobab. Red. Slightly low carbonation. Mouth feel is a bit thicker than water. Sweet, but with bitter ending. Good balance between the tastes. Hop, caramel, jam aroma. Very good.

On draft poured a cop perish red color with nice white head. The aroma was of malt and some mild hops along with the bourbon barrel aging. The flavor for me was very vanilla and sweet. I think the vanilla bean takes away some of the goodness of this beer, but just my opinion.

Rich amber pour, off white head. Aroma is lightly bready, bourbon, honey, vanilla, roasted nuts. Flavor is awesome with the vanilla and bourbon. Hops are taking a backseat, comes across as almost a light barleywine. I enjoyed this quite a bit.

This draft brew from a beer festival poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a uncarbonated orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of crystal malt and mild red malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy woody, toasted malt and small hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Flavor was moderate bittersweet flavor with an average bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.
