Fobab 2012. Very strange idea with this one. Poured a reddish color with a beige head. Aroma was bourbon and vanilla and light metallic notes. Flavor wasn;t as barrel forward as expecting,s omewhat bland amber base with light bourbon and vanilla sweetness. Meh.

Fobab. Red. Slightly low carbonation. Mouth feel is a bit thicker than water. Sweet, but with bitter ending. Good balance between the tastes. Hop, caramel, jam aroma. Very good.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tmongoose (663) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - OCT 31, 2012
On draft poured a cop perish red color with nice white head. The aroma was of malt and some mild hops along with the bourbon barrel aging. The flavor for me was very vanilla and sweet. I think the vanilla bean takes away some of the goodness of this beer, but just my opinion.

Rich amber pour, off white head. Aroma is lightly bready, bourbon, honey, vanilla, roasted nuts. Flavor is awesome with the vanilla and bourbon. Hops are taking a backseat, comes across as almost a light barleywine. I enjoyed this quite a bit.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thedm (4773) - Fort Wayne, USA - AUG 18, 2012
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a uncarbonated orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of crystal malt and mild red malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy woody, toasted malt and small hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Flavor was moderate bittersweet flavor with an average bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

Dark amber pour. Aromas of vanilla and caramel malt. Taste is sweet, but not syrupy sweet. Very faint bourbon presence, which is fine by me. Nice bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel. Overall, a very pleasant beer with good flavor and very drinkable. Well done.
