Sampled on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a nice darker brown, well hazed, some lighter edges and a bigger frothy tan head that laces well, stays fairly prominent. Aromas are some brown malts, sweeter cocoa, touches of earthy malts, nuts, some bigger sweet toffee and caramel. Initial is a touch of sweetness and earthy brown malts. Some nut, toffee, caramel. Light earthy tobbacco, some light florals into the finish but fairly brown malt forward. Easy to drink, with some cola, touches of more cocoa, and sticky caramel, bready biscuits. No real toast, fairly sweet and sticky when it gets down to it, some cookies and toffee. Not my favorite in the style. Fairly sweet, no bitterness to balance. The base and coffee treatment seem worlds away from each other

tap at the brewery - Pours dark brown and smells of roast caramel malt with some mild hops. The hops comes to the fore in the flavor with some citrus notes. It’s backed by toasted caramel malt. Bitterness lingers in the finish of this medium bodied brew.
