3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a almost black but you can see hints of red when held to a light. Small tan head that settled down to a film. No lacing. Aroma is very roasty. Taste is malty, roasty, chocolate, coffee and when you wait around the bitterness really lingers on the tongue. One of the best porters I have had.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours nearly black with a very large tan head.
Smell is roasted malt, slightly sour dark fruit....quite metallic.
Taste is burned coffee grounds..dry, ashy, unpleasant.
Iíll have to revisit this one, judging by the numbers, I must have got a bad bottle, because this was not good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Deep murky brown with a huge creamy tan head. Nose is roasty chocolate with metal notes and a bit of mild milky cream. Taste is a like a watery chocolate milkshake infused with coffee. Nutty coffee on the finish, with a bit of bitter roast. Thinnish body, but the carbonation creams it up a lot. Solid stuff.

8/11/12. GTMW. Light black/dark brown pour with a nice brown head. Nice roast and light chocolate on the aroma with touches of cream and just a hint of fruitiness. Nice flavor as well, big chocolate and coffee with some cream. Not overwhelmingly heavy or cloying. Tasty!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to StFun! Dark brown pour, plenty of foamy head and an aroma of slightly roasty chocolate. Flavor is nice and aggressively chocolatey, nuts and dry, light and just a little spiciness. Great solid porter worth picking up!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 08/09/2012. Dark brownish-pour with a thin light tan head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and mild hops. Light to medium body with a roasty character and notes of chocolate malt, coffee and hops. The finish is grainy malt and coffee. Above average overall.

Pouring at GTMW 2012.
Dark rust brown colored pour, small soapy brown head. Nice lightly swet aroma good roast bitter chocolate/coccoa notes. Avg palate. A well done porter flavor follows the aroma a nice dry finish leaves a touch of piney resin on my toungue. Very enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown/black with a 1/2" tan head and huge swirls of lace. Full roasted malt with overtones of chocolate and bittersweet caramel. The malt grows through the palate to a mouth-cleansing carbonation bittering to maintain balance, finishing with light alcohol warmth. All this in 5.5%abv? How do they do it? Highly recommended.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is that of fresh roasted coffee and milk chocolate. Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a small light tan head. Tastes of fresh coffee, bittersweet dark chocolate, and cream with hints of caramel. Not unlike a mocha latte, flavor wise. Yet not overwhelming and easy to drink. Medium-full body. Thick and creamy with not a lot of carbonation. Overall OUTSTANDING! One of the best porters I have ever had the pleasure of drinking! I will certainly be back for more, and often!

12oz bottle, pours dark brown with big coffee colored head that lingers for most of the glass. The aroma is of coffee notes and light chocolate. The flavor is very smooth nice contrast of the mild roasted malts and the chocolate powder. Light coffee in the flavor as well. This is a medium bodied beer that is creamy and delightful.
