Draft sample. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate earthy hops and fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

Gold pour, white head. The tropical aroma is nice. Mango and lychee. Flavor is lightly bitter, nice and citrusy, mango, light lychee flavors. Really a nice fresh and hoppy brew! Light caramel malt balances this nice.

8/11/12. GTMW. Orange pour with a decent khaki head. Mild hop aroma with plenty of tropical fruits and hints of caramel. Malt and caramel come through lightly on the flavor with more tropical fruits in there. Not bad!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheAlum (4359) - Lisle, Illinois, USA - AUG 27, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2011 Draft on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a nice glowing amber orange pour, a healthy glow and haze with a small frothy whitish head that dies to a tiny ring and laces small. Aromas are a rich fruity citrus hopping, Galaxy hops take control with grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemons, oranges. Melon, pale malts, touches of biscuits. Really nice. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied with a rich strong hop presence, dry and citrusy, florals, melons, mangos. A melange of fruits and stronger bitterness. Backend has pale malts and some bread peeking through, some dryness really sticks to the palate. Crisp and citrusy hops. Really fruity and vibrant. Goddamn this is a quality APA with an awesome Galaxy hop presence. Still very fruity, light malt body stays out of the way. Highly drinkable. Quality flavorful hop. It’s all about the Galaxy here and it brings what is advertised. Bringing a Bullet home to the crew.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JCB (3856) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 7, 2012
On tap at End of the Line, Indy. Another super-solid brew from Flat 12, proving they can do the esoteric as well as the basic with equal craft. Bright and inviting orange pour, with a sizable fluffy head. Nice idea to rock the single hop, as the nose is clean and uncomplicated. Dry and fruity in equal measure, the beer is flavorful and unpretentious, hitting the mark in the way this style should.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 drewbeerme (3685) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 30, 2011
Growler, thanks to theAlum, pours a deep golden red with white head. Nose has some sweet melon, juicy fruit, candy sugar, and an odd off flavor like chlorophenol - rather plasticy. Flavor is a bit better but still overly sweet with cotton candy, juicy fruit and minty. Good bitterness. Just really don’t need my apa’s this sweet.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hotstuff (3350) - Indiana, USA - SEP 2, 2011
On the hop handle at JK O’Donnell’s on 8-17-2011. Poured a very small tan head that fully lasted, fair amount of lacing, transparent, and a golden hue. The aroma is citrusy, passion fruit, sweet, hint of caramel, and sweet. The flavor mimicked the aroma along with some light bitterness, crisp, clean and the pale malts took a backseat. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is more hoppy tasting than a lot of the APA’s that I have tasted/rated which caught me by surprise.
