Growler thanks to StFun! The growler sat in my fridge for a few days before I got to open it, and much to my surprise it completely separated in that time (seriously, it looked like a lava lamp with distinct layers when picking it up.) Very dirty mustard colored pour, tons of floaties and a little carbonation and a very nice sweet grapefruit aroma. Flavor is also slightly bitter grapefruit, gelatin, black licorice and a coating mouthfeel. Maybe this is better on tap, but it didn’t do too well in a growler after sitting a few days. Thanks for sending this truly unique beer my way Josh!

Growler shared by DalzAle (Thanks Greg!) Pour looks like an ice coffee that has been left in the car for a day. Aroma is really nice strong fresh grapefruit with sugar on top. Taste is also decent, but has a weird cream lactic taste. The grapefruit really is the only thing keeping me from dumping this out. Palate is full, but not in a good way and is very chalky gelatine like. An interesting one!

Growler… Cloudy amber ale with a small, fluffy, white head that slowly morphs into a small, creamy, tight cap that never fully dissipates. The aroma provides huge passionfruit flanked by welcomed candy and earthy components. Full-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. The flavor offers sweetbreads and gumdrops, but the heavy, fruity, rindy bitterness is the predominant factor here. Finishes coarse, quite bitter, and then dry. This seems an awful lot more like an Ipa than an American pale ale. Their uncut Walkabout Pale Ale must be silly bitter. How bitter their actual Ipas are, I don’t even wanna know. Thanks a ton to StFun for the growler!
