COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our most popular easy to drink ale. Honey Wheat is an American wheat ale with 30 pounds of honey added to the brew. Honey Wheat is lightly hopped, slightly sweet, and has a clean finish.

It poured a clear yellow color. The aroma was very light followed by a nothing flavor of light honey. The taste was pretty bland as well. Weak.

Tasted at Flat Branch Brewery in Columbia, Missouri. Very light appearance like a pale lager. Light malty aroma. A bit skunky American Wheat flavor with a strong honey flavor. A quite poor American Wheat.

Tap at the restaurant. Poured a golden color with a small white head. Aroma was grass, honey and bread. I’m not a big fan of wheat beers, but this flavor was amazing. The balance and taste was never before seen in a wheat ale. Great for what it is.

Pour at the brewpub was hazy golden with a white head. Aroma was sweet honey and malt. Flavor was sweet malt, honey, and a bit of wheat. This one is definitely of the filtered American variety. Well made and easy to drink.

Tasted 9/12/10. Pint from the Brewpub. Filtered with a pale golden hue. White ring and brainy head. Aromas of sweet honey and bitter rustic breads. Light to medium bodied with a tart honey flavor that almost dominates the palate. Lightly roasted malts and wheat add a dimension and a good amount of body. Light and smooth with pronounced flavors and solidly produced.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub - pours clear pale yellow with an off-white head. The aroma has mainly honey sweetness - light aroma overall. Light body with a bit of slickness from the honey. The flavor starts off with plenty of honey and light wheat notes that are on the American wheat side of things. The finish is sweet and clean. This is a bit light for my tastes, but it is still well made.

Its honey. Pure honey. Smells like honey, tastes like honey, leaves that honey aftertaste on your tongue. Not much going on except the honey.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear yellow-gold color with rising bubbles and a medium thin white head that burns away steadily. Thin sheet of lace. The aroma is sweet honey and malt with a touch of wheat. Light body with flavors of toasted malt and honey, plus a touch of Lager-like hops. The finish is sweet honey with a wheaty aftertaste. Pretty run-of-the-mill overall.

This is a basic and simple beer. Having said that it is still clean and well balanced, very easy to drink, and light enough to be thirst quenching on a hot summer day. The honey gives a light sweetness, and a bit of wheaty cereal maltiness. Still a bit too thin in the finish.
