COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A first at Flat Branch, our version of Imperial IPA, released on New Years eve in place of the traditional Cave Dweller Barley Wine. This is a big beer at 11% ABV and 75 BU’s, or bitterness units. It is amber to copper in color and generously dry hopped with 7.5 pounds of Nelson Savin and Galaxy hops that assertively compliment the malt flavors. Enjoy the fresh hop aroma and flavors this holiday season.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes reddish gold with a decent white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and malt. Taste is grapefruit, other citrus fruits, pine, malt, and caramel. Nice bitterness at the finish. Some alcohol comes through. Nice.

The color of this beer is slightly orange and golden with a slightly white head that dissipates quickly, and the aroma smells of floral and spruce hops. The taste is quite bitter, slightly sour, and slightly salty; also, the palate combines a medium body, a long and bitter finish, a slick texture, and a soft carbonation.

On tap at the Brewpub. It poured a dark amber color with a light brown head. The aroma had strong malt notes with the hops being more of an undertone with pine and citrus notes. The taste was sweet from the malts giving the beer a caramel and sweet cereal flavor with just a slight undertone of citrus hops. Very well done.
