Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Nov 28, 2004 Brewpub visit 11/04 ... Copper, still and thinly topped. Metallic and caramelly. Milky mouthfeel, as with almost all the Flat Branch beers. Little aroma. Just an OK American copper beer with no bitter attractiveness. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Dec 2, 2005 On tap at the brewpub. Dark gold with an off-white head. Oh my, it certainly is hoppy! Has a flowery citrus flavor of the cascade hop. The hoppy scent will wake you up. Has fantastic head retention. This is what we want a brewpub pale ale to taste like. Leaves your tongue dry. Silphium (2029), Lansing, Michigan, USA Sep 8, 2004 On tap at Flat Branch. Dark straw/amber body, thin off-white head. Grapefruit and pine hops aroma, the grapefruit being especially strong in the flavor (being more pulp-like than rind-like) which was balanced by toasty malts. Had a subtle earthiness as well. One of the better beers at the brewery. Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Dec 16, 2005 tap at brewpub. pours medium orange sith a small soapy white head. those cascades are shinning here for shure! big grapefruit note comes to me far from my nose. flavors are carmely sweet malts, dry resinus grapefruit notes with a touch of pinesap. long bitterness. medium body but a littoe on the flimsy side. this is definately an SNCA clone. Pretty run of the mill, but quality nonetheless. PhillyBeer2112 (1861), Orange Park, Florida, USA Aug 13, 2006 Nicely done pale ale. Amber color. Aroma of honey and resiny hops. Flavor features a nice blast of resiny hops. Malts are lightly caramel, bready and mostly just a background for the hops. Clean fermentation profile.
