COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Katy Trail is named after the trail paralleling the Missouri River. This is an American pale ale that is amber colored, with a balance of malt and hop flavor. The subtle citrus aroma is from the American cascade hop.

Pours amber with quarter inch white head. Not getting much aroma..faint grapefruit and bread. Flavor light grapefruit and toast. Getting hints of diacetyl flavors up front. Hops kick in mid way. Really good bitter finish. Medium body. Ok pale ale.

It poured an amber color. The aroma was of honey and resiny hops. The taste was of resiny hops, and malts that are lightly caramelized.

Medium gold colored body with an off white head. The nose has grapefruit and wood. There is also a little bit of bread crust. The taste is musty citrus and light toffee. There is also tea. Meh.

Tasted at Flat Branch Brewery in Columbia, Missouri. Light orange appearance with a mild hopped aroma. Pretty mild pale ale but not too hoppy.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub - pours amber / orange with an off-white head. The aroma is fairly light with mildly toasted malt and a hint of hops. Medium grainy body with underscored carbonation. The flavor starts with earthy hops and toasty malt. It is clean with some light fruitiness. The finish has earthiness and spice. This seems like a cross between and English and American pale ale.

I did not like this. Sour and overly bitter in a bad way. Amber yellow with minimal head. Hops clashed with malt.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is an amber-copper color with a thin and foamy light beige head that recedes steadily. Threads of lacing at the top with spots underneath. Aroma of mild hops, malt and citrus. Medium-bodied and moderately hoppy with some fruit and malt underneath. The finish is somewhat bitter hops with a light caramel and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
