Commercial Description:
Kolsch is a light ale fermented with a special ale yeast strain that is capable of fermentation at lager temperatures. As with pilsner styles, Kolsch is light in body and pale golden in color. The beer has a clean, crisp palate with a soft finish. Hopping is light to allow a slight hop crispness along with subtle spiceness from the German Perle and Tettnang hops. The ABV is 5.4% and hop bitterness is 20BU's.

tap at brewpub-pours light yellow with a small white head and sparse lacing. grainy husky malt tones with a faint spicy hop note on the aroma with a funky/skunky yeast quality from the german yeast. flavors are crisp, lighty grainy, spicy hops, funky yeast quality, and a touch of malt sweetness. some sharp dryness on the finish. man, this is very authentic and i give it a high score because of this. tastes like im drinking reisdorff on tap. nice work from this brewery!

On tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow in color with a nice chill haze. Fantastic fluffy white head. Awesome lacing. Grassy scent with a little banana tossed in. Citrus taste with a great bitter tongue. Nice sweetness for balance. Crisp finish. This may be the best kolsch that I’ve had in the US.

Deep golden color, decent white foamy lasting head that leaves a lace in the glass. Has a flowery and light grainy aroma. Light malt and mild hop flavors, very dry and clean, crisp finish, light body and a watery mouthfeel, nice refreshing easy drinking, good hot weather brew.
