COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our porter is brewed to the original English robust style. It has five specialty malts which give it a rich, roasted, and malty flavor. Lublin hops from Poland are used to balance the malt sweetness without imparting bitterness or flavor. The ABV is 5.4% and hop bitterness is 18 BU’s.

Draft sampler, 4 Aug 07. Nice homey brown color. Large coffee smell, could almost pass for a stout. Brown and caramel malt taste, with a prominent English hop palate (but now I read on their webisite that this uses Polish hops). Very pleasing and mellow.

Nice dark, not quite black color with pleasant smoke aroma. Flavor is primarily smoke with coffee notes. Not particularly complex, with somewhat weak flavors. Drank later in the evening after a Fuller’s London Porter, which is superior.

tap at the brewpub-pours almost black with a nice soapy kacki head. nose is roasted and deep dark chocolate. very aromatic for this style. really smells bold for a low abv beer. flavors are robust-roasted chocolate and light smoke. body is medium with a little more than usual carbonation. That didn’t detract from this experience. long roasted finish that lasted long into the walk back to the car! This was the only beer i had a pint of. nice!

Brewpub visit 11/04 ... Black with a thin tan head. Smoky, smoky, smoky! Heavy roast character, yet not too heavy.

Not a lot of head, but good lacing and nice color! Combination of chocolate/Coffee flavors in a not-too-sweet combination.
