COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the style of the Belgian Trappist ales, our Tripel is a rich golden color with a malty sweetness from the generous use of Vienna malt and Belgian specialty malts. Hopping is low to allow the yeast and malt flavors to dominate. An authentic Trappist ale yeast was used for fermentation. The ABV is 8.3% and hop bitterness is 20 BU's. We serve it in a stemmed brandy snifter to bring out the fermentation aromas and flavors.

Took a chance on this brewpub attempt at the Tripel. I was pleasantly surprised. The reviews below need to remember: it wasn’t brewed in Belgium, but Missouri. For a Missouri attempt, not bad. I’ve had a much worse attempt locally at the ROB.

2009 vintage Pour was dark amber with no head. Aroma is candi sugar and yeast. Flavor is sweet and malty, lots of spicy belgian notes. Decent shot at this style.

Interesting beer. Reminded me a lot of the barleywine. Flavor was slightly raisiney and super sweet. Initial taste was promising, but by the end of the glass I felt like I was drinking more of a syrup than anything else.

Served on draft for $4.99/ glass. Very dark amer and almost syrupy thickness. Small white head with adequate carbonation. Not what I thought a trippel should be. It was as sweet as raw sugar, had a malty flavor, and smelled somewhat estery. I did not care for it.

tap at brewpub-pours burnt amber with a small fizzy off-white head. looks more like a dubbel of you ask me. a little to dark for a trippel. lots of malt here-doesnt smell belgian at all other than a lite candy sugar note. flavors are surupy, overly sweet and lots of sweet apple notes. almost earthy/evergreen thing gong on here. Not true to style and not a very good beer here which goes against most of the beers here.
