COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A brown ale is the base for this winter seasonal brew. We added spices during the kettle boil and again in the serving tank to infuse the beer with a complex spice profile. Star anise, cardamom seed, orange peel,cinnamon, nutmeg and a few others create the spicy flavor combination. The ABV is 4.6% and hopping is low at 11 BUs. Happy Holidays!!

Flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg dominate though not to the point of being cloying. Nicely balanced with the malts

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear reddish-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that is bubbly and recedes slowly. Aroma of allspice, orange peel and cinnamon. Medium body with a sweet spiced character that contains cinnamon and allspice flavors along with some orange zest and malt. The finish is mildly spiced with a malty aftertaste. Decent all around.
