badgerben (3001), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jun 29, 2007 Updated: Apr 12, 2008 American Pale Ale #100. First tapping at the Flat Earth Open House. Dark copper color with no head. Aroma of orange and citrus-heavy hops with a strong floral element. The floral carries into the flavor nicely. Slight caramel malt and interestingly enough, some honey as well. One of the best organics I’ve had!
Lowe1983 (730), Fairborn, Ohio, USA Jul 14, 2008 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Hops are present on the aroma but it still has a pretty sweet caramel malt aroma. Flavor is pretty strong of citrus hops and caramel malts. Bitter finish that lingers a little. moelikebeer (93), New Brighton, Minnesota, USA Jul 9, 2008 Bottle. Very clear, amber pour. Nice balance of sweet caramel maltiness and bitter hoppiness. Syd (722), Twin Cities Metro, Minnesota, USA Jul 4, 2008 Bottle pours redish amber with not much head, but some spot lace. The aroma is floral hops and sort of a maple thing. The flavor is mostly hops, some citrus, and some more of the maple syrup. The palate is medium bodied and less than lively. I think I must have a better batch than has been previously rated as I like it pretty well. stankenk (18), Maplewood, Minnesota, USA Jun 30, 2008 Pours an copperish amber color. The nose is a floral arrangement, with mild notes of citrus. Comes across the palate smooth with very little flavor. It has a lingering bland hoppy finish. I Tripplebrew (238), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 29, 2008 Pours a clear amber copper with light cream-colored head that dissipates to a bit of lacing. Aroma is hops hops hops (notes of pine). Flavor is hops with a sweet touch that down plays the hops. Very earthy, floral taste. Almost leaves a residue feeling after each sip. Body is medium with light carbonation. Nothing special to say about this beer.
