Flat Earth Pale Ale is a Belgian pale ale. Inspired by beers like Orval and Rare Vos. Made with imported Belgian malt and a Belgian yeast strain. Our Belgian pale ale has a sweet malt aroma with traces of orange, plum and pear. Its complex malt backbone of biscuit and hints of toast to compliment the spiciness of the yeast. We hope you enjoy the fresh "Belgian" beer.

22 oz. bottle received in trade - Pours a clear copper color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Has some lively carbonation. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is light malt, yeast, and herbal hops. Flavor is lightly sweetened malt, light banana and some other light esters. Medium body. A fairly smooth palate. You can tell this beer has a Belgium influence. A nice beer.

Bomber from Lakeville Liqour: Pours a copper/amber with a large bubbly head. Aroma is initially fruit, plum & apricot, underlying toasty caramel malt and candy sugar. Flavour is a little light for my taste though not too light. Sweet malt and a light spicy hop presence. Very clean finish.

Bomber bottle from Tyler and served in my NB Worthy glass: Clean coppery amber hue with a fading head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of apricot and pear esters, candi sugar, doughy and caramel malts, classic Belgian yeast esters and a tad spicy. The taste starts with a twangy acidic fruit and surprisingly moderate hop bitterness over a layer of biscuity malt and some honey. The finish is mildly grassy and hop spiced with a hint of medicinal character. The mouth feel is sharp and a soft, almost too soft as it needed better carbonation IMO. Not too shabby and glad it was not as sweet as the nose let on, nice bitterness overall.

Thanks to Bob for the bomber! Poured translucent medium orange with a towering cap of whitish head. The aroma picked up very dry bread, pale malts, and peppery spices.. decent with nothing great going on. The flavor had sticky honey and light fruity sweetness laced with dry spicy yeast.. finished with some tacky sweetness and a touch of raw alcohol. Medium-bodied and too carbonated on the palate.. I enjoyed the dry spices. This didn’t do much for me.

22 oz. bottle. Great looking belgian ale - pours a clear orange-amber with fluffy off-white head. Aroma of malts, candy, and some dark fruit. Light on the palate, but still well-balanced. Flavor of yeast, sweet malts, and bread along with a some green hops and grass near the back of the palate. Slightly bitter finish with a somewhat metallic aftertaste.

Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a crystal clear copper amber, with a monstrous, puffy, well retained light tan head. Smells of some sweet Belgian candy sugar, dark sweet malts, and sweet candied fruits. Huge carbonation, overly so in my opinion, with much of the same flavors that I got in the nose. Big sweet malts and fruits combined in the flavor, with even a hop bitterness in the finish. Decent, not great.

Pre Tasting 08 PP Belgian Fest w/ my girlfriend Cyn, Bartzilla and Galtscat. Bomber via Galtscat. Pours orange with a 1 finger tan head. Nose is sweet light. Taste is sweet and light hopped and has some bite. I really like this as a session belgian pale.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2008 Pours a nice copper color with some solid head. Aroma is of dark, wet fruits - grapes, plums - as well as some mild but spicy hops. The flavor is similar with the fruitiness coming through more than the hops. The mouthefeel is very nice. This beer fills the mouth nicely, and is quite smooth. The finish leaves a bit to be desired as the aftertaste leaves some hints of vomit (this sounds terrible - it isn’t that bad, it’s just not what I look for in a great micro) , but overall this is a very drinkable beer.
