Flat Earth Pale Ale is a Belgian pale ale. Inspired by beers like Orval and Rare Vos. Made with imported Belgian malt and a Belgian yeast strain. Our Belgian pale ale has a sweet malt aroma with traces of orange, plum and pear. Its complex malt backbone of biscuit and hints of toast to compliment the spiciness of the yeast. We hope you enjoy the fresh "Belgian" beer.

Attractive copper color with very small quickly dissipating head. Clean mouth feel with little aftertaste. Small tinges of raisin.

Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #44. Draught pint at Sir Benedict’s in Duluth, MN, August 2008. Clear copper with very little head, fully diminishing...fruity-malty nose (apple crumble) with a toasty/woody character in the background; as it warms it takes on an unfortunate vegetal character..."darker" in taste and feel than most "Belgian pales", lightly caramelized malts and toasty/burnt charactertistics....somewhat thick and sticky, low carbonation.

Poured from bottle into tulip. Amberish goldish color with quickly diminishing white head. Smell has plenty of malt and funky Belgian yeast. Flavor is more mild than the scent, but plenty of sweetness and yeasty spice. Feel is smooth and appropriately carbonated. This isn’t my favorite style, but I like this one because it is pretty mild while still retaining the Belgian character.

7th Street Social is the stop for this beer served up in a pint glass. Very little head on a amber colored ale. First thought is this doesn’t taste like a traditional Belgian pale ale. More like a malty sweet pale ale. Lacks the bitter component and any sorry of finish. Just very thin. Adds up to a beer that fails to impress. You can definitely find better.

Tap at 7th Street social. Pint glass. Copper with small white head. Smells of spicy citrus. Tastes like a sweet and spicy pale ale. Not very Belgian aside from a little bit of yeast flavor. Let me down a little bit but probably should have expected something similar.

Bomber. Amber in color with no head. Yeasty, biscuits, orange, pear and light cinnamon. Taste is lightly sweet with a yeasty flavor. Body is lighter with a foamy feel.

Tasting at the brewery. Pours a hazy golden amber with medium head. Aroma is moderately sweet Belgian yeast with a little honey. Taste is similar, average sweetness with yeast up front and some bread in the malt. Pretty run of the mill and not my favorite style. Not bad though, and drinkable.

22 oz. bottle purchased 3 days ago, and poured into a Belgian snifter. Appearance: Amber-orange hue with a huge, foamy, durable off-white head. Gobs of lacing, but the bottle foamed over after opening, and again after pouring about 10 oz. of beer. Aroma: Yeasty with suggestions of banana and bubblegum. These clash with some earthy/spicy hops. Flavor: more sour than expected which, together with the over-flowing bottle lead me to suspect some contamination. Mouthfeel: near medium body; high carbonation. O: perhaps a bad bottle and worthy of a re-test, but not so bad that I can conclude this with confidence.

Poured from bottle. Pours an orange/copper hue with a thin white head. Aroma of sour apple, malt sweetness, some spice. Taste of banana, biscuit, citrus/sour, orange zest. The sour taste is overpowering throughout is very surprising which makes me think something is wrong with this beer. Don't really taste the hops. Comes out a little bit on the finish. Medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Red copper small white head with nice lacing. Some malt aroma. Medium body with malt sweetness, caramel notes, and a bitter hop finish. Didn’t notice much Belgian characteristics.
