Tap at Minnesota State Fair, Land of 10,000 Beers section. Yeasty nose, light fruit, apples, pears, light esters. Dark straw color. Very sweet initial, lots of concentrated fruit, honey, sugar. Medium body. Quite good. Fruity, estery, and rich.

Very aromatic flowery citrus and wheat aroma. Lots of sweetness upfront, then some bitterness and a boozy finish. Light bodied.

Draft at Stouts. Crystal clear light amber in color with just a bit of white head. Nose has just a touch of spice and honey in it. Taste is crisp and slightly spicy. Nice honey finish, slightly sweet then some phenolic belgian stuff going on.

Tasted with Lowtherís, really enjoyed. That wonderful barnyard funk, spicy and floral, double bubble and cotton candy, banana esters and a bit of malt, complex, great one to spend time on.

Dark Golden with a cloudy appearance. The flavor boasts a strong, rich lineup of Bananas, Cloves, Caramel, Barley, Rye, Yeasts, and Floral Hops. The body comes off as a bit too watery for this style of beer, but itís still quite drinkable and mildy crisp thanks to the carbonation. Iíll just close by saying that itís beers like these that have very limited distribution that make me glad I made the move back to Minnesota.

Bottle via a trade. Pours with a very minimal, fading white head. Hazed golden hued body. Aromas show a nice yeast character, musty, earthy, pear, mild phenols of clove, black pepper and allspice. Flavors are peppery, mild phenol, clove, spice, lively, dry with a slight grainy malt character. Lively bubbles, dry, grainy and bready. Medium, alcohol. Very decent.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2013 (bottle) Pours a clear light gold with a very thin white head. Aroma of banana, pale malt, honey butter spread over toast, pears, must, and a subdued floral element. Pretty good, it just needs to warm up a bit before the scents emerge. The flavor possesses plenty of banana, pale malt sweetness, slight butter, allspice, and a lingering stale bread crust finish coupled with a moderate bitterness. Little heat shows up here, but itís not intrusive. I believe this is the only Flat Earth beer Iíve had that wasnít carbonated to high hell, so I must give the palate a 4 for breaking that trend. Overall this is a decent beer, but the high asking price will not prompt a repeat purchase.

Abio (1630) - Waasland, BELGIUM - MAY 14, 2011
Golden coloured, a to small head. Sweet honey, malty, spiced, citrus, caramel. A bit to sweet, a bit sirupy, I would like some harder carbonation. But no bad at all.
