Bomber from Lakeville Liquor: Pours a dark brown with a creamy tan head that leaves a tight quarter inch cap. Aroma is cocoa and coffee, light biscuit malt is discernable. Flavour is chocolate and light molasses and vanilla. Finish is light with a clean bitterness A decent, if somewhat light porter.

Dark brown/hazel pour with a two finger dirty white foamy head. Cocoa and coffee on the nose. Touch of alcohol at the roof of the mouth. Stale coffee beans at the front that get fresher towards the end. Hint of dark fruits.

mgumby10 (1856) - Jupiter, Florida, USA - MAY 4, 2008
Pours black, with a medium light brown head. Smells of rich, roasty malts, nuts, and some sweet caramel malt. The flavor is of some light chocolate mocha, good doses of vanilla, and some syrupy sugars. Maybe a touch of dark fruit is noticeable as well. Pretty simple porter, not overly complex, but drinks pretty well for what it is.

Bottle... DLD’08... Clear, dark ruby beer with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma seems to be all about chocolate, coffee and toasted nuts. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. Sweet, chocolaty flavor with a mocha finish.

Tasted at the February Northern California Beer Tasting. This porter pours a eclipse black color form a 22oz bottle. Medium sized tan foamy head. Aroma is chocolate, brown sugar and coffee. Medium to full bodied porter. Malts are chocolate and coffee, touch of smoke. A nicely flavored and bodied balanced porter. Very drinkable. Nice dry finish. Mouthfeel is very full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

MilkmanDan (1943) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - MAR 31, 2008
Deep red-brown. Wispy mocha head. Nose smoke, charcoal, bit of coffee. Palate is a mite thin, not enough body. Flavor is quite smoky, sharp roasts. Faint chocolate, mostly coffee bitterness. Needs a better palate, just doesn’t have enough heft to stand up to the nice roastiness.

Much Thanks go out to Stine for this one. Pours out a nice deep brown with slight reddish hues. Very small off-white head. Aroma is of milked down coffee, roasted malts and slight chocolate. Flavor is of bittersweet chocolate, lightly roasted malt, and slight coffee notes. Finishes a bit dry with some hop notes. Not bad...
