3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (4111) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Bottle:   Deep amber, slight garnet hue, moderate sandy head, light lacing.   Nice autumn/pumpkin like spices, lots of all-spice and clove.   Spices show up front, backside is a little tart.   Could be age?   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft pumpkin like spices linger, but overshadowed by the tartness of the beer.   Smells great, starts great, but turns a little south too quick. Going to toss this up to age given its an Autumn seasonal.   Still tasty tho.   Thanks for the bottle Bob!
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ughsmash (5836) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - APR 4, 2012
Bomber. Poured clear, fiery orange with a creamy cap of beige head. The aroma picked up biscuity notes topped by nutmeg, cinnamon, and sour pumpkin meat.. not bad, but it smelled a bit off. The flavor opened with tangy, sour biscuits and pumpkin meat.. oaky sourness, nutmeg, and a pinch of vanilla surrounded.. finished sour with a nice complement of pumpkin spices.. it wasn’t terrible, but I don’t think it was supposed to be sour. Light-medium bodied and sour as mentioned on the palate.. some good elements here, and I’d try a fresh sample some time.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bsp77 (724) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Serving glass: Clear amber-orange with thin off-white head.
Aroma: Lots of spice in the aroma, with cloves, ginger and cinnamon most noticeable. Some light caramel and pumpkin.
Taste: Caramel and nutty pumpkin, with a very spicy layer on top. Notes of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and ginger - the nutmeg and allspice last long into the finish.
Palate: Moderate carbonation, fairly light body, dry finish.
Overall: Great low abv Pumpkin Ale. This may now be my favorite for one low in alcohol, topping Brooklyn.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 portableparty (1190) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - NOV 13, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a foamy tight off white head that dissipates to a foamy collar. Aroma is quite nice with cinnamon, clove and pumpkin puree. Taste is more cinnamon and clove with a subtle bitternessin the end. Palate is thin to medium with a slick chaulky finish. For as burnt out I am with pumpkin beers this is pretty decent!
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Tripplebrew (740) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - OCT 29, 2011
Pours a hazy copper orange with frothy white head that dissipates. Aroma is very mild but there is tinge of nutmeg and bread. Flavor is mild - watered down bread and clove. Not impressed.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mattyb83 (636) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Tap. Clear, dark bronze color with a small and fluffy head. Pumpkin pie spice in the aroma. Not overpowering, and very pleasant. Smells like fresh baked pumpkin pie cooling in the distance. Lots of nutmeg and clove, maybe some cinnamon in the flavor. Slight potpourri-like floral notes, too. A touch thin, but still really good.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 BVery (2559) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - OCT 10, 2009
TAP: goldish pour, thin white head. Nose of cinnamon and pumpkin, taste is cinnamon, pumpkin - reminds me of a spicy tea. Great beer.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 tennisjoel (1111) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - OCT 1, 2009
Sampled at ABR. You know, I really thought the pumpkin aspect was nailed here. Unfortunately, the carbonation level was too high, and that took away from the overall experience. Just tone down the carbonation, and Flat Earth has a winner here.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JK (3509) - Uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 13, 2009
Pumpkin pie spice. Cinnamon. Brown color. The spices are not as strong as some other beers, and this is not as sweet as many of the style. Good flavor however. Very drinkable, and I don’t taste any flaws.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DalzAle (1466) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - SEP 13, 2009
Tap at ABR 2009. Hazy brown/orange pour, medium carbonation and an aroma of light spices. Flavor is light pumpkin pie spice, some earthy squash and finished light on the palate. I really like the fact this beer was much lighter than a lot of other pumpkin beers that are overspiced/high in alcohol and in your face.
