Bottle. Pours hazy grapefruit-orange in color with a short head. Decent lace. Bright herbal aromatics of ginger, eucalyptus, and mint. Light-med sweet attack that rolls to bitter. Medium-full body, creamy-thick texture, soft carbonation and a balanced, lengthy bitter finish.

Amber with a light off-white head. Earthy, grassy, and floral with a hint of pepper and citrus zest. The herbiness is down in there, but not extremely prominent. Some distinct bitterness in the finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 stchloe (691) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 19, 2012
A very interesting IPA, on tap at Horse Brass, hoppy head and nose follows with a herbal musky body with sweet malt notes.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mcberko (4072) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 7, 2012
22 oz. bottle, pours a murky orangey brown with a small white head. Aroma of herbal hops, citrusy resious hops, and some spices. Flavour of piney hops and tons of the herbs, which are spicy with a bit of coriander, horse blanket and pot, and some biscuity, caramel malt to back. The more you drink, the herb becomes more and more potent. Difficult to drink after a while, but it works in small doses. Decent.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 troopie (1989) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Not goatey at all. Draught. Good looking with a lekker white head and good ringed lacing. Herbey aroma. Obviously there’s something besides malt and hops in this beer. If I were to guess, I’d say parsley and african coriander. Good on a hot day and not stinky at all
3.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 beercollector (23) - Astoria, Oregon, USA - JUN 8, 2012
Big hop hit up front with aroma, then taste. Nice clear orange, minimal head. Lingering hop hit. Did I say hops and more hops?
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 BK7 (550) - Turner, Oregon, USA - MAY 24, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Good balance between the malty caramel and the bitterness. A bit thin in the middle. The goat weed was not as prevalent as I remembered and as I was hoping for. Overall a solid Double IPA.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 marcus (5013) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 20, 2012
On tap at the West Coast Brewfest. Pours light amber with a decent beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a smooth caramel malt flavor with a nice transition to hop bitterness. The herbs are a nice addition, especially the lavender.

Tap at the West Coast Brewfest. Pours orange gold with a white head. Odd citrus/eucalyptus aromas. Med body. Flavor is citrus, weeds and floral. Apparently there’s lavender in this. Very nice.
