Canned from Roth’s. Light straw in color. Highly hopped skunky nose. Well hopped. Pretty dank. Some earthy dryness. Pretty full flavored. Lots of hoppiness.

Smells like the most perfect Saison ever. The taste is almost great, but in the end feels a little forced.

On draught at Flat Tail. Clear light golden color. Aroma is citrus, pine, and a touch of yeast. Taste has a lot of citrus and pine hop flavors with some saison spice. Quite hoppy and easy-drinking, and an interesting hybrid of styles.

Tap at Dad’s Kitchen. Pours hazy gold with a slight, transient white head. Huge citrus, fruit, floral aroma. Amazing aroma. Med body. Flavor is rather phenolic, but fruity hop is detectable. Gets very earthy. Strongly flavored. Dry finish. Very strong statement.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), with a note of vegetables. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Ugh, wow...this is just a light APA that for some reason they decided to label a saison. Way overhopped (with the wrong aroma for a saison, too) and vegetal. Drain pour bad.

Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours Blonde with a huge white head and a grassy fruit aroma. There is a flat light malt flavor with some banana ester and a slightly bitter finish.

From a bottle bought at pdx airport. There is a herbal hop taste which is pretty balance between the two. Thin body not over hoppy not over herbal.

Bottle:   Little green is right, bright but seems a little green in its floralness.   Spritzy, soft peppery notes.   Not as funky or floral as Belgians, but its fairly bright and thankfully not mealy for an American example.   Hoppy too, suppose that’s what is making it somewhat green/young.   Soft lemon and peppery notes on the finish.   Pretty entertaining.

The slightest clouded golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of pale wheat, tons of grapefruit, pineappley and citrusey hops, some earthy notes and a ton of light spice flavours - very nice throughout the smell. Light-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong spice kick of white pepper, sage, coriander seed, spruce and hay all with not much malt at all - this tastes more like a gruit with every sip. Aftertaste is very mild with hops and spices coming out - no malt or depth, no strength nor pungency. Overall, a very light offering with a ton of spice and grassy flavours, but not depth, maltiness or earthy flavours at all. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 27-September-2013 for US$5.50 sampled at home in Washington on the other side of this country on 17-March-2014 on St Patrick’s Day.
