Bottle:   Little green is right, bright but seems a little green in its floralness.   Spritzy, soft peppery notes.   Not as funky or floral as Belgians, but its fairly bright and thankfully not mealy for an American example.   Hoppy too, suppose that’s what is making it somewhat green/young.   Soft lemon and peppery notes on the finish.   Pretty entertaining.

The slightest clouded golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of pale wheat, tons of grapefruit, pineappley and citrusey hops, some earthy notes and a ton of light spice flavours - very nice throughout the smell. Light-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong spice kick of white pepper, sage, coriander seed, spruce and hay all with not much malt at all - this tastes more like a gruit with every sip. Aftertaste is very mild with hops and spices coming out - no malt or depth, no strength nor pungency. Overall, a very light offering with a ton of spice and grassy flavours, but not depth, maltiness or earthy flavours at all. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 27-September-2013 for US$5.50 sampled at home in Washington on the other side of this country on 17-March-2014 on St Patrick’s Day.

On draught at flat tail 11/09/13. Pours clear yellowish green. Nose of mostly hop and pine. Taste is intense hop however a smooth lime flavor balances this one out. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

651mL thanks to brainlair! Pours a low haze straw. Medium white foam. Nose is dank, grassy hops, mild skunk, starfruit, Nelson, white grape. Taste is dusty, minerally. Dry, amarillo bite. Low alcohol feel. Grisette perhaps? Nice.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2013 22oz from Roth’s Sunnyslope store in S.Salem $4.99 Alc 4.2% Clear golden colour with faint hints of sediment, large frothy pure white head. Strange hoppy, onion, yeasty aromas..some black pepper.,little cheese..weird but yet nice! Taste is the same weird mix of hop and yeast..carbonation non existent..not enjoying as much as the aroma. Mouthfeel is dead..no carbonation and feels flat on the tongue. Not good flat sweet and bitter yet unexciting..not a good saison in fact a disaster..unless I had a bad bottle. RE_RATE: Just had a nice sample of this at a local store and it was far far better, thinkn it was a flat bottle i got. Will try another bottle soon.

Straw in color hazy with a thin head. Now the added apecial hops make this one kick as Sasion. What is Oregon doing they are brewing terrific Belgian beers.
