Bomber from Hayduke. This is very brown and opaque. Lots of carbonation floats up. A nice creamy beige head. The aroma is something I am having a difficult time identifying. Rye and chocolate is the best I can do. Tons of rye in the flavor. Lots of malts, too, but tons of rye. The rye brings spice and a lot of it. Too much rye. There are hops in here but I am having a hard time finding them The rye is almost cloying. I like rye in a beer but . . . Throw some pastrami in with this and you have something.

This was a 22 oz bottle. Strykzone (Dave) had one in Wood River, Illinois and I had mine. We opened together and discussed on Facebook Chat. Poured a rich dark amber with a good sized beige head and very thick lacing rings. Medium plus in body with a smooth yet lively mouthfeel. The flavor just screams rye with earthiness, citrus, and floral hops. There is a hint of bitterness in the finish but again the rye spice is dominant. Generally an excellent rye beer with just a hair too much rye.

Red pour with a white head. The aroma is full of red malt and grass. The flavor is similar with a lot of red ale malt, grass, pine and resin. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

(22oz bomber thanks Blackswan for the mustache ride) clear deep amber, soapy white bubbles. Nose of rich caramel, honey and hops, nice mix of the two. Taste of bitter grapefruit, caramel, dry, bakers chocolate. Dry bitter finish.

22oz bottle from Roths Sunnyslope store in S.Salem. $7.49 A turbid brown ale with a large ,creamy, bubbly creme coloured head. Strong hop aromas, resiny and herbal..with a earthy malt backing Extremely well balanced taste maybe a bit stronger on the malts..spicy notes also which may be rye present, black bitter french roast coffee aspect finishes off which is nice. Good mouthfeel quite silky for a such an alcoholic beer. Overall a good beer worth seeking out

Bottle:   Deep caramel, reddish tinge, moderate to large foamy sandy head, fairly nice lacing.   Semi-sweet caramel malt aroma, a bit of rye as well.   Very smooth on the tongue, almost creamy, hoppy, lots of rye, with a minor caramel malt background.   Very smooth and easy to drink.   Not overly bitter either, or should I say astringent.   Has a nice bitterness that is well balanced with the malt body.   Pithy exit, malty, hoppy, citrusy, with some aspects of caramel.   This is a really nice Strong Ale.   Nice work!

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours dark ruddy amber with a frothy beige head. Aromas of rye spice and floral. Lush. Med+ body. Flavor is rye, citrus and floral. Gets a little confusing as flavors come and go. Its bitter, somewhat astringent, and the finish is very rye spice. Just excellent.
